1991 15' Super Sport

Project 69 is an excellent example of the highly desirable Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport. This clean, low hour Super Sport was located near Oakland, Maine from the original owner where it was used sparingly on Long Lake in Rome, Maine and always kept in a climate-controlled storage.

The 15’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1985 and remained in production until 1994. In 1989, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 15’ model available from Whaler with a mahogany interior. Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest with molded storage compartment, and bow and stern navigation lights as standard equipment.

This Super Sport is optioned with a new custom Sunbrella mooring cover, new stainless steel bimini top and rare tan Boston Whaler battery box with Kevlok strap. She retains all her original hardware in excellent condition with no corrosion to the chrome fittings and 3-piece rubrail in excellent condition.

Originally outfitted in 1991 with an Evinrude 70hp outboard, she was repowered in 2002 with a new Honda 50 hp (BF50A2LRTA) 4-stroke, outboard with power trim/tilt, Honda side mount controls with thumb operated power trim/tilt switch, Honda tachometer and Honda trim gauge. The Honda BF50A2 outboard is known for its lightweight, low maintenance, power, and reliability. The Honda has been fully serviced and is excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with original paint and an estimated 100 hours of usage. She has been run exclusively on ethanol-free fuel.

Rounding out the package is a like new 1992 Calkins galvanized trailer with new tires.

This highly desirable Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport is in very good condition and ready to be enjoyed today. The Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport model is one of the most in-demand Boston Whaler models and, as always, will not last long.
