PROJECT 66
This is an excellent example of a highly desirable Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport. This clean, low hour and original Super Sport was located near Holland, Michigan from the original owner where she was used sparingly and always kept in climate-controlled storage.
The Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1985 and remained in production until 1994. In 1989, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 15’ model available from Whaler with a mahogany interior. Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest with molded storage compartment, and bow and stern navigation lights as standard equipment.
This Super Sport is optioned with a custom Sunbrella mooring cover and rare tan Boston Whaler battery box with Kevlok strap. She maintains her original varnish on the mahogany interior. She is equipped with her original low hour, highly desirable and reliable 3-cylinder Yamaha Pro 50hp Precision-Blend oil injection 2-stroke outboard with hydraulic power trim/tilt, stainless steel propeller, electric start/choke, Yamaha tachometer, and Yamaha trim/tilt gauge. The Pro 50 is a high performance outboard using Yamaha’s 849cc (60hp/70hp) engine block while the "regular" 50hp used the 696cc block. The motor has 120 psi compression across all 3 cylinders. The Yamaha 3-cylinder motors are known for their reliability and are highly desirable for the classic 15’ hull due to their very high power/weight ratio. This Yamaha outboard has been fully serviced and is excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with original paint.
Rounding out the package is a new 2022 Load Rite 16170076DWT galvanized bunk with keel roller trailer. This pristine and highly desirable Super Sport is extremely difficult to locate in such amazing original condition, and ready to be enjoyed by her next family.
The Classic Boston Whaler 15’ Super Sport model is, by far, one of our most requested and sold Boston Whaler models; she will not last long.
PROJECT 58
This Classic 1978 Boston Whaler 13’ Sport is in very good original condition and was acquired from the second owner in Patten, Maine. The boat was exclusively used on Lower Shin Pond and has never been in saltwater. The mahogany has never been refinished and the hull is in excellent condition with no bottom paint. The mahogany will be refinished, and hull detailed and polished.
This Sport 13 is optioned from the factory with stainless side railings, Wilcox-Crittenden oar locks, and bow and stern navigation lights. She is powered by a 1984 35hp 2-cylinder Johnson outboard with electric primer and electric start that has just been fully serviced. The 2-cylinder OMC motors are very lightweight, reliable, durable, and low maintenance. They have an excellent power/weight ratio for the Sport 13 hulls.
Also included is the original 1978 Holsclaw galvanized model A-1250 trailer in excellent condition.
This is an excellent example of an all-original, all-freshwater Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Sport that is ready to be enjoyed by her next owner.
PROJECT 57 - DEPOSIT RECEIVED
Heads up, this is the nicest Classic Boston Whaler that we have seen to date.
This pristine all-original 1969 Boston Whaler Sakonnet was acquired from the family of the original owner in Western Arizona. She has been stored inside under cover for her entire life and hasn’t been registered or used since 2009. This Sakonnet was used predominately in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming for one week per summer and on the Colorado River in Parker, Arizona. She has always been out West in the desert, never seen saltwater and has returned east for the first time since being manufactured at the Boston Whaler Rockland, Massachusetts factory in 1969. She is truly a museum piece, still sporting the original varnish on her mahogany components.
The Classic Boston Whaler 16’ hull was introduced in 1960 and began the center console revolution in the boating industry. Prior to the Classic Boston Whaler 16’ center consoles (Nauset, Sakonnet, Eastport), the center console design did not exist. The Sakonnet (produced 1962-1975) was "a luxuriously practical sport fishing vehicle" according to the catalog. For a $1,070 premium over the bare hull, you received bow and stern lights, a mahogany reversible pilot seat with cabinets, bow casting platform, center console and windshield, mechanical steering, Morse MT-2 single lever engine control, stainless bow rails, bow chock, fire extinguisher, and a red Ritchie Explore Model 15 compass. The popular Sakonnet model outlived its two sisters (Nauset & Eastport) by two model years.
This Sakonnet has numerous factory canvas options to include the original Boston Whaler plastic gas tank mats, mahogany lockable rod box, Wm J. Mills flytop, windshield, forward shelter, side curtains, aft curtain and full mooring cover. The original 1969 heavy duty Green Mfg Co (Salt Lake City, UT) boat trailer is in excellent condition with no rust or corrosion.
This 1969 model is a wonderful example of an all-original Boston Whaler Sakonnet that has not been restored or refinished. Originally rigged with a 55hp Fisher-Pierce (Homelite) 4-stroke outboard, she was repowered in 1986 with a new Evinrude V-4 90hp Variable Ratio Oil (VRO) injection system outboard with power trim/tilt, electric start/choke and full factory OMC gauge package (tachometer, speedometer, hour gauge, trim/tilt indicator). The 90hp Evinrude/Johnson OMC V-4 offers an incredible power/weight ratio and has a reputation as one of OMC’s best outboards ever produced. She is rigged with the original Morse MT-2 single-lever engine control. Since rigged in 1986, the Evinrude has only been operated for just 65.7 original hours as evidenced by the OMC hour gauge on the dash. The 1986 Evinrude is effectively a new engine that has just been completely serviced and runs perfectly. She has never been in salt water and has been well cared for and lovingly maintained.
All original, freshwater Sakonnet models that retain all of their original features and have not been modified or abused, are extremely difficult to come by. This is the nicest 16’ classic Whaler we have seen to date. You will be the envy of the boat ramp, harbor, gas station, etc. This Sakonnet draws significant attention, and we know she will make someone quite happy.
PROJECT 64
This clean, freshwater, original, one-owner Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport was located in Zionsville, Pennsylvania. The original owner used this Super Sport for only one week a year for a family vacation in Canada from 1987 through 2011, and was always stored inside a heated garage when not in use.
In 2012, a brand new Evinrude E-TEC 40hp engine was installed and never used. This Super Sport sat unused, due to no fault of her own, until we acquired her in early 2024. She has not been modified in any way, retains all her original components, and is in incredible original condition.
The mahogany is original, and shines like new. The hull is perfect with zero imperfections and still retains the high gloss shine from the factory. There are zero added screw holes anywhere in the interior.
This Super Sport is equipped with a highly desirable, new 2012 Evinrude E-TEC 40hp twin cylinder high pressure direct fuel injected, electric start outboard with power trim/tilt. The motor is in new condition with only 1.75 total hours of run time.
The Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1984 and remained in production until 1994. The Super Sport was the most highly optioned 13’ model available from Boston Whaler with a mahogany interior. Super Sports received a full wrap-around stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full-width aft thwart seat backrest and molded storage compartment as standard equipment.
This Super Sport also has the factory optioned Wm J. Mills canvas mooring cover (pacific blue), Ritchie Explorer Model 15 compass, Perko bow light assembly with SS pole stern light package, tan Boston Whaler battery box and auto/manual electric bilge pump.
She has never been kept in the water overnight and has just had the bottom barrier coated and top coated with Interlux Bottomkote.
She is fitted to a like-new condition, 2011 EZ-Loader galvanized 1250 lb capacity trailer.
This is a truly difficult to locate, all-original, and beautiful Classic Boston Whaler 13’ Super Sport that is ready to splash for the upcoming season!
PROJECT 60
We located this two-owner, freshwater, low hour (< 300) original Classic Boston Whaler Montauk near Cleveland, Ohio. This Montauk was purchased brand new from a Boston Whaler dealer near Port Clinton, Ohio and used exclusively on Lake Erie by both owners. She has never seen saltwater or spent a night in the water and always stored inside a garage on her original galvanized trailer. She was used for one day, 2-3 times per year, 1979-2017 and has since been in storage.
She is equipped with her original, gorgeous, 1979 Johnson Javelin V-4 100hp outboard equipped with power trim/tilt, electric start/choke, OMC tachometer, trim/tilt gauge, voltmeter, and hour meter. The motor has 120 psi compression across all 4 cylinders. The OMC V-4 motors are known for their reliability and are highly desirable for the classic 17’ hull due to their very high power/weight ratio. The V-4s have a reputation as one of OMC’s best outboards ever produced. This Johnson has been fully serviced and is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with zero rust/corrosion and still has the glossy original paint with gold details.
The most recognizable and iconic model that Boston Whaler ever produced is probably the Classic Boston Whaler 17’ Montauk. This highly desirable 17’ hull, paired with a center console, provides a platform ideal for inshore or offshore fishing while affording ample cockpit space to cruise or enjoy watersports with friends and family.
This Montauk is a rare find in this condition. The Boston Whaler 17’ Montauk came equipped standard with 10” side railings, full bow railing, reversible pilot seat with bottom cushion, combination bow light/chock assembly, Ritchie Navigator flush mount compass and stainless-steel pole stern light. This particular Montauk was optioned through Boston Whaler with a 72qt Igloo cooler with seat cushion forward of the console, tan Boston Whaler battery box, recessed fire extinguisher holder, and rare large “Whaler” decals.
Additional options include a vhf-fm marine radio, Garmin GPS/depth sounder, canvas covers for the console and reversible pilot seat and full mooring/trailer cover. The original heavy duty trailer is in excellent condition with new bunks, radial tires, hubs, bearing buddies and lighting system. This pristine and fabulously retro Classic Boston Whaler 17’ Montauk is nearly perfect, turnkey and ready to be enjoyed today.

The Boston Whaler Nauset was introduced in 1960 and began the center console revolution in the boating industry. Prior to the Boston Whaler 16' center consoles (Nauset, Sakonnet, Eastport), the center console design did not exist. Nauset interiors came standard with a mahogany fixed pilot seat mahogany center console with windshield and mahogany bow locker cover. Other original standard features include stainless steel side railings, bow light, stainless steel pole stern light, Acco rotary helm, Nautalloy steering wheel and a Morse MT-2 engine control.
This Nauset has numerous factory canvas options to include the original 1966 Wm J. Mills flytop, windshield, forward shelter and full mooring cover. All components are in excellent unused condition. The original 1966 heavy duty Spartan boat trailer is in excellent condition with no rust.
This particular 1966 model is a wonderful example of an all-original Nauset with a rare, original 1966 Mercury 950SS outboard. The 1966 Mercury 950SS was the first year of solid state (SS) ignition and the elimination of ignition points. The inline 6-cylinder Mercury outboards, affectionately referred to as the "tower of power", have a very high power/weight ratio and were the high performance motors of their day. We purchased this all original Nauset boat from the son of the original owner. This Nauset was purchased from Leitz Sport Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan in 1966 and was used at a summer cottage in Brimley, Michigan on Lake Superior. She has never been in salt water and has been well cared for and lovingly maintained.
All original, freshwater Nauset models which retain all of their original features, have not been modified or abused, are extremely difficult to come by. The classic Mercury "tower of power" 950SS outboard is the perfect iconic engine to be paired with the iconic Nauset, the original center console boat. You will be the envy of the boat ramp, harbor, gas station, etc. This Nauset draws significant attention and we know she will make someone very happy.
PROJECT 29
This is among our favorite projects and one that we’ve been waiting to get our hands on for quite some time.
This is a very fine example of an original 1990 25' Revenge Walk-thru with the highly desired Whaler-drive option. She was used lightly each season by her original owner until she was stored in a barn in 2008. She was properly winterized, covered, fuel tank drained/polished and tucked away for 10 years until we acquired her. She is in exceptional original condition. Her original 1988 twin Yamaha 150 outboards were tired; despite being winterized properly, the outboards didn't age well after being in the barn for 10 years.
Besides all Revenge walk-thru standard features and the optional Whaler-drive, her other factory options include dual Super Pilot seat/workstations (fishwell/storage option) that replaced the standard pedestal swivel seats, full width stern seat with Wm. J. Mills factory cover, fiberglass bow pulpit, upholstered gunwale coaming pads, stainless side grab rails, Wm. J. Mills Flying top and cockpit cover, Ritchie Navigator surface mount compass, springline cleats, triple original Boston Whaler tan battery boxes, driver's side powered windshield wiper, porta-potti, and upholstered v-berth filler cushion w/cabin table.
We have repowered her with a set of low hour, freshwater 1998 Saltwater Series II Yamaha 150s in immaculate condition from Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. 1998 was the last year that Yamaha offered a counter-rotating matched set of their bullet proof 2.6L 150 hp 2-stroke motors. The motors are known for their reliability, excellent power/weight ratio (420 lbs/motor), durability, low ownership cost and ease of maintenance. These are highly sought after motors, particularly in an original matched set configuration.
Beyond mechanical upgrades, this boat has been through a total electrical and electronics upgrade and has been fit with a new Mills cockpit cover.
At nearly 30' length overall she rides extremely well offshore and offers much security for children with her stainless side rails, enclosed transom and factory stern seat.
It would be an understatement to say that we are very excited to have found such a highly desirable and highly optioned original 25' Revenge in such amazing condition.
PROJECT 47 -
This is an incredible example of an original, highly-optioned, 1989 25’ Outrage Cuddy with the desired Whaler-drive option.
The original owner purchased this boat new in Michigan where she was sparingly used in summers until a few years ago. She was never kept in the water and she was always stored inside. The second owner, despite never using the boat due to unforeseen circumstances, had her serviced/winterized every year and always stored her inside.
This Outrage is in exceptional original condition with freshwater use only. She is powered by her original 1989 twin Mercury Black Max counter-rotating V-6 150hp outboards with just over 500 original hours. The 150hp Black Max motors are known as very strong and reliable running motors with oil injection and power trim/tilt standard. The motors have been fully serviced, including new thermostats, spark plugs, water pumps, fuel filters, and gear oil. The motors were fully tuned following an ultrasonic carburetor cleaning. The motors look and run like new with zero rust or corrosion. When properly maintained, the motors will provide many years of reliable operation and enjoyment.
Standard factory equipment on the 1989 25 OR Cuddy includes a 18” SS destroyer steering wheel, 140 gallon fuel tank, hydraulic steering, SS bow rail and bulkhead grab rail, 2 flush mount rod holders, bow/stern/anchor international navigation lights, bow bitt, bow eye, aft cleats, two cuddy cabin port lights, forward hatch, two aft cabin lights, bow deck anchor hawse pipe, and bilge pump with automatic control switch.
The 25 OR cuddy was produced from 1983-1991, but only offered with the Whaler-drive option from 1987-1991. Extensive factory options on this Outrage include the Whaler-drive fiberglass outboard bracket, teak bow pulpit with SS bow rail extension, Ritchie Navigator compass, full cuddy cabin bunk cushion set, SS side rails, 35” super console with lockable teak access door and side storage bins with teak doors, full width upholstered stern seat, super leaning post/work station with sink and cooler (includes padded leaning post cushion, port/starboard access doors), and Wm J Mills flying top set and full width stern seat cover. Also included is a brand new 2022 Rock n Roll custom aluminum dual axle trailer with disc brakes on both axles specifically designed for the boat.
At over 30’ in length overall, the OR 25 rides extremely well offshore and offers much security for children with her stainless side rails, enclosed transom and factory full width stern seat. The hull has never been bottom painted, upholstery is in new condition and the entire package is an extremely rare find.
We are extremely excited to have located such a highly desirable and highly optioned original 25’ Outrage Cuddy in such amazing original condition. There is not another 25’ OR Cuddy like it available for sale anywhere. Nearly ready to splash into the upcoming 2022 boating season, she will certainly be the envy of every harbor that she visits.

Yes, this is actually a Boston Whaler! Boston Whaler produced the 15’ Mischief model to celebrate their 30th birthday in 1988. The Mischief was produced for the 1989 and 1990 model years and began with a standard 15’ hull to which a top fiberglass deck shell was added, front upholstered bucket seats, rear upholstered bench seat, side panel upholstery, rear gull wing storage compartments, ski tow pylon, integral flip out cockpit boarding ladder, glove box and sport style steering wheel. 235 Mischiefs were produced, of which 139 were red.
This all-original 15’ Mischief was located in Delanco, New Jersey where it has been stored inside since 2008. We acquired the Mischief from the second owner. The original owner purchased the Mischief from a dealer in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Mischief was used in freshwater rivers and lakes in Tennessee until the original owner relocated to New Jersey in 2008. Since 2008, the Mischief has been kept trailered in a garage and used a few times each season on the upper Delaware River near Rancocas Creek, New Jersey. She has never spent a night in the water and was always trailered and garage stored after every use This 1989 Mischief is equipped with a low hour, highly desirable and reliable 3-cylinder Mercury 60hp 2-stroke oil injected outboard with electric start, choke and power trim/tilt. The 60hp Mercury offers excellent power/weight ratio and has a reputation as one on Mercury’s best outboards ever produced. Factory options include a Wm J. Mills cockpit cover and aftermarket full boat cover. A galvanized Sea Lion trailer is also included.
This Mischief is all original and in excellent condition. The Mischief is a fun, rare and unique Whaler that celebrates 30 years of Whaler production and turns heads wherever she goes. She is currently in our shop receiving a full detailing and thorough servicing.

We acquired this all-original 17’ Newport from her second owner in Rochester, NY where it had been unused since 2002. This owner had purchased this boat from his best friend, who purchased it new in 1980. This Newport was used exclusively and very sparingly in the Irondequoit Bay region of Rochester, NY and stored inside every day since the day she was purchased. There are less than 100 original hours on the hull and motor. She has never spent a night in the water and was always trailered and garage stored after every use.
This particular Newport was optioned from the factory with the very rare, rear fiberglass casting platform with livewell, factory cushion set for the bow and casting platform, removable tow pylon for skiing, and stainless steel side railings. The custom Sunbrella mooring cover has never been used as this boat was always stored inside. The original 1985 Evinrude V-4 90hp outboard is equipped with a Variable Ratio Oil (VRO) injection system with a 1.8-gal reservoir tank mounted under the fiberglass casting platform, power trim/tilt, electric start/choke and electric priming pump. The 90hp Evinrude/Johnson V-4 offers incredible power/weight ratio and has a reputation as one of OMC’s best outboards ever produced.
This Newport is in absolutely perfect and spectacular condition and ready to launch today.
The 17’ Newport was introduced in 1975 and produced until 1990. The Newport was built on the same 17’ hull as the very popular Montauk center console, but was intended to be a more family friendly platform for fishing, skiing, cruising and to compete with bow riders. The standard Newport model featured a molded fiberglass side console with windscreen, wide fiberglass gunnels with interior storage, forward low-profile stainless bow railing with windscreen, three-piece rubrail with scarlet red insert, two forward upholstered bucket seats and reversible pilot seat with cushioned bottom and padded backrest. The Newport model has an excellent layout for family adventures on the water.
PROJECT 40 -
This all-original, exclusively freshwater Katama was purchased in Central Ohio in 1973 and was acquired from the original owner. They had relocated to Lake Lanier, Georgia in 2016 she has been rack-stored inside ever since. She has never spent a night in the water and was always trailered and garage/rack stored after every use.
The 16’ Katama used the legendary Whaler 16/17 hull, was introduced in 1968 and produced until 1975. The Katama featured a molded fiberglass side console with Wm J. Mills canvas/Eisenglass windscreen, three-piece rub rail with black insert, tan three-spoke Teleflex steering wheel, two forward upholstered bucket seats and reversible pilot seat with cushioned bottom and teak backrest. 1973 was the first year that Whaler began producing tan exterior gelcoat with desert tan gelcoat interiors. Prior to 1973, all 13’ and 16’ hulls had white gelcoat exteriors and blue gelcoat interiors.
This particular Katama is optioned from the factory with stainless steel side railings, Ritchie Model 15 Explorer (grey) compass and the bow/stern navigation light package. This Katama even has the original/rare Kainer all-around pole stern light, red Rubbermaid battery box and all sales paperwork from 1973 to include the factory brochure. This Katama was re-powered in 1996 with a 4-stroke, 50hp Yamaha outboard with power trim/tilt and electric start/choke. The Yamaha has been expertly serviced/maintained and has 212 original hours. Underneath the Katama is a brand new 2021 Load-Rite trailer. This package is complete with a factory Sunbrella mooring cover patterned after the original Wm. J. Mills mooring cover.
This rare and original Katama has an excellent layout for family adventures on the water.

This is an excellent condition, all-original, freshwater 1989 Boston Whaler Montauk 17 from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. She was purchased new from an area BW dealer and used on the lake until the second owner purchased her in 2018 and relocated the boat to Iowa where she was used twice on the Mississippi River. She has never seen saltwater or spent a night in the water and has always been stored inside a garage or inside rack stored at a marina.
She is equipped with her original 1989 Suzuki DT100 100hp V-4 two-stroke, oil-injected, electric start/choke outboard with power tilt/trim with < 350 hours. The DT100s are known as very reliable motors and highly desirable for the classic 17’ hull due to their very high power/weight ratio. The Suzuki has been fully serviced (water pump, spark plugs, fuel filters, thermostats, carb sync, gear oil, etc.) and is excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition with zero rust/corrosion and still has the glossy original paint. Her gearcase easily passed a pressure test along with a leak down test of all her 4 cylinders. She runs beautifully and needs nothing.
This particular Montauk is a rare find in such original condition. The Montauk 17 model came equipped standard with 10” side railings, full bow railing, reversible pilot seat with bottom cushion, combination bow light/chock assembly and stainless-steel pole stern light. This particular Montauk was optioned through Whaler with mahogany cooler chocks, 72qt Igloo cooler with seat cushion forward of the console, teak fire extinguisher box, two sets of 3-pair rod holders forward of the console with backrest cushions, tan Boston Whaler battery box, Kevlok battery box strap, forward bow cushion and Wm. This Montauk is absolutely perfect, turn-key and ready to be enjoyed today.
PROJECT 41
The Outrage 18 (1981-1990) is a true classic among the many models of Boston Whaler boats. The hull shape retained the refined bow lines with the classic "smirk" (formed by carrying the line of the runners up and across the bow). The resulting Outrage 18 hull was able to provide excellent lateral stability, but offered much improved ride in waves and chop compared with the 17-foot hull. The Outrage 18 was designed for operating in big waves and big water, to be able to go offshore and fish in the ocean. The cockpit of the Outrage 18 is also slightly different from the smaller boats. There is more freeboard in the hull and thus there is a deeper cockpit.
The standard Outrage 18 features include the standard console with teak access doors, dash panel, locks, plexiglass windscreen, stainless steering wheel, switch panel with 2 pre-wired accessory switches, fuses and buss bar. Additional standard features include stainless railings, a 63-gallon fuel tank, two swivel seats, recessed aft cleats with hawse pipe, rod racks, pair of flush-mounted rod holders, bow locker with fiberglass cover, teak gunwale boards, international navigation lights, fire extinguisher, bow bitt, lifting eyes, battery box with hold-down strap and a heavy-duty rub rail.
The cockpit features the standard Whaler center console and offered a choice of seating arrangements, principally either the standard twin swivel seats, optional teak reversible pilot seat, or optional leaning post. A full-width upholstered bench seat could be ordered to provide more seating in the stern. A cooler seat and bow cushions could augment seating forward of the console. The Outrage 18 was one of the smallest boat to offer an integral fuel system. This large fuel capacity (63-gallons) gave the Outrage 18 the ability to make long trips without refueling.
This particular Outrage was located from the original owner in Apex, North Carolina where it was used exclusively on lakes in the area and has never seen saltwater. It was always trailered when not in use, didn’t spend one night in the water and was stored in a heated garage. The original condition is absolutely incredible. This Outrage was repowered from the original OMC engine in 2004 to a new Honda BF150 outboard with EFI, VTEC, hydraulic steering and stainless steel prop. The boat was used very sparingly and only has 173 original hours on the Honda motor. Factory options include the reversible pilot seat with cushioned base and cushioned backrest (very rare on an Outrage), full width upholstered stern seat, and forward cooler with upholstered seat cushion and rod holder back cushions, and a Wm J Mills fly top canvas set. The Outrage sits on a Magic-tilt dual axle aluminum trailer.
If you are looking for a classic 18’ Outrage, look no further as this girl is perfect.

The rare and ultra popular Sourpuss model was produced from ’71-’75 and was the most highly optioned model available on the 13’ hull. Exact production numbers are unknown, but a preserved Sourpuss is extremely difficult to locate. The Sourpuss was only produced with a white hull/ blue interior for the ’71 and ’72 model years as Whaler transitioned to tan hulls in 1973. The Sourpuss model was upgraded from the Sport with a full width center steering console, front thwart seat mahogany backrest, wrap-around stainless railing with aft thwart seat mahogany backrest and blue “denim” lace-on padded seat covers. The original sales flyer advertised that the blue seat covers would “look like denim” as they aged and Whaler’s marketing materials were in line with the early 70’s denim craze.
This particular freshwater Sourpuss was acquired from the original owner’s family in Central Pennsylvania and has been used strictly on Pennsylvania and New York State lakes. The Sourpuss was repowered in 2006 with a very difficult to locate 2005 Mercury 40hp 4-cylinder 2-stroke short shaft (in fact the owner had the motor flown down from a dealer in Alaska) with electric start/choke and gas-tilt assist.
The interior mahogany is in excellent condition, has been refinished, and the gelcoat has been compounded, polished and waxed. This Sourpuss also retains the original Rubbermaid battery box and bow/stern navigation lights. The combination of white hull, blue interior, gloss varnish, original white steering wheel and blue “denim” seat covers makes this one of the prettiest Whalers produced.

This particular freshwater Sourpuss was located in Northwest Connecticut and had been used strictly on Connecticut and Vermont lakes. The original Mercury engine was removed and the Sourpuss was re-powered with a very low hour 1988 30hp 2-cylinder short shaft Evinrude. The interior mahogany was refinished, brass drain tubes replaced and gelcoat polished. The Sourpuss also retains the original Rubbermaid battery box and bow/stern lights. The combination of white hull, blue interior, gloss varnish, original white steering wheel and blue “denim” seat covers makes this one of the prettiest Whalers produced.
PROJECT 48
We located this fresh-out-of-the-box, low hour (< 150 hrs), and freshwater only Super Sport 13 in Western Idaho from the original owner. The boat was purchased from Adventure Sport Boats Inc. in Hamilton, OH in 1994 and used sparingly on Lake Michigan until the owner relocated from Chicago to Sagle, Idaho in 2004. Upon arrival, the motor was winterized and she was stored inside a heated garage under cover until acquired by TDC Marine.
This boat is in absolutely factory new condition (read: mint). The varnish is original, shines like new and the hull is perfect with zero imperfections and still retains its factory high gloss shine. There are zero added screw holes anywhere in the interior. She is equipped with her original 1991 Evinrude 40hp twin cylinder two-stroke, electric start/choke outboard with power trim/tilt.
The Evinrude 40hp twin cylinder outboard is known as a very reliable, high performing, and lightweight (185 lbs) motor which is desirable for the classic 13’ hull since it has a very high power/weight ratio and can support watersports activities with ease. This motor has been fully serviced (water pump, spark plugs, fuel filter, carb sync, gear oil, etc.), retains all the original paint with zero corrosion and is in new operating and mechanical condition.
The 13’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1984 and remained in production until 1994. The Super Sport was the most highly optioned 13’ model available from Whaler with mahogany interior. Super Sports received a full wrap-around stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest and molded storage compartment as standard equipment.
This Super Sport also has the factory optioned Wm J. Mills canvas mooring cover (forest green), unused Wm J Mills bimini sun top w/boot (forest green), full interior cushion set in parchment w/brown piping, red Ritchie Explorer Model 15 compass, Perko bow light/chock assembly with SS pole stern light package, and auto/manual electric bilge pump. She has never been kept in the water overnight and never had any bottom paint. She is fitted to her original 1993 EZ Loader Model 14-16 1250 lb capacity trailer.
We have had many incredible 13’ Super Sports, but this is, hands down, the best one that we have gotten our hands on!
PROJECT 44
This all-original and difficult to locate Sport is in unbelievable condition. We found her in Sunapee, New Hampshire where she had been stored in a heated garage since 1995 - unused. This is a one owner Sport that was used exclusively on Pleasant Lake just outside Sunapee and has never seen saltwater. She was never kept in the water overnight and was always trailered and launched on the owner’s property when used. The mahogany has never been refinished and the hull is in excellent condition.
This Sport has nearly every factory option available in 1980: rare wrap-around stainless side railing with mahogany aft thwart seat backrest, blue “denim” full cushion set for both thwart seats and mahogany backrest, red Ritchie Explorer Model 15 compass, Boston Whaler battery box and bow and stern navigation lights.
The original 35hp 2-cylinder Johnson outboard has been fully serviced and is in excellent cosmetic and running condition. The OMC twin cylinder 35s are known as a very reliable workhorse of a motor and highly desirable for the classic 13’ hull since it has a very high power/weight ratio and weighing only 120 lbs. The original trailer is being replaced and the hull will be fully detailed/polished in the coming weeks.
This is an excellent example of a low hour, highly optioned, original, freshwater Sport ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
PROJECT 42
This single owner, immaculate, freshwater, low hour (< 250) and completely original Montauk was located in northern Vermont. This boat was purchased brand new from a BW dealer in North Hero, Vermont and used exclusively on Lake Champlain. She has never seen saltwater or spent a night in the water and always stored inside a garage on her original EZ Loader trailer. She is equipped with her original 1986 Yamaha 115hp V-4 two-stroke, Precision-Blend, electric start/choke outboard with power tilt/trim. The Yamaha V-4s are known as extremely reliable motors and highly desirable for the classic 17’ hull due to their very high power/weight ratio. The V4s have a reputation as one of Yamaha’s best outboards ever produced.
The most recognizable and iconic model Boston Whaler ever produced is probably the 17’ Montauk. This highly desirable 17’ hull, paired with a center console, provides a platform ideal for inshore or offshore fishing while affording ample interior room to cruise with the family or for watersports.
The 17’ Montauk came equipped standard with 10” side railings, full bow railing, reversible pilot seat with bottom cushion, combination bow light/chock assembly and stainless steel pole stern light.
This particular Montauk was optioned through Whaler with the 72qt igloo cooler with cushion forward of the console, tan Boston Whaler Battery box, and the classic scarlet red, large “Whaler” hull decals. She has a brand new full mooring/trailer cover as well. The original heavy duty EZ Loader trailer is in excellent original condition with stainless steel hardware, full keel rollers and bunks. This Montauk is a rare find in this condition, absolutely perfect, turnkey and ready to be enjoyed.
PROJECT 38
Yes, this is actually a Boston Whaler! Boston Whaler produced the ultra-iconic, 15' Mischief model to celebrate their 30th birthday in 1988. The Mischief was produced for the 1989 and 1990 model years and began with a standard 15' hull to which a top fiberglass deck shell was added, front upholstered bucket seats, rear upholstered bench seat, side panel upholstery, rear gull wing storage compartments, ski tow pylon, integral flip out cockpit boarding ladder, glove box and sport style steering wheel. 235 Mischiefs were produced, of which 139 were red.
This all original 15' Mischief was located in Newton, NJ where it sat unused in a garage since 1991. We acquired the Mischief from the original owner who purchased it off the floor of the Jacob Javits Center during the 1990 NY Boat Show. The Mischief was used for one season in Barnegat Bay, NJ and then winterized and placed into the garage where we located her in 2018. There are less than 20 original hours on the hull and motor. She has never spent a night in the water and was always trailered and garage stored after every use. This 1989 Mischief is equipped with a low hour, highly desirable and reliable 3-cylinder Yamaha 70hp 2-stroke oil injected outboard with electric start, choke and power trim/tilt. The 70hp Yamaha offers the best power/weight ratio of all available outboards for the 15' hull and has a reputation as one on Yamaha's best outboards ever produced. Factory options include a Wm J. Mills cockpit cover, aftermarket full boat cover and canvas motor cover.
This truly mint condition Mischief is a fun, rare and unique Whaler that celebrates 30 years of Whaler production and will turn heads wherever she goes. It will be hard to let go of this one!
This is a very well preserved, original 13' Sport came from Onalaska, WI and
is one of the best original 13' Sports we have located. Locating Whalers of
this caliber is difficult and often requires travelling to preserve a piece
of history. This Sport was purchased from the original owner's grandson who
inherited it from his grandfather. The grandfather was from Chicago, IL and
purchased the boat from Bond's Boats in Chicago. We verified through Boston
Whaler that the hull was shipped from the Rockland, MA factory on November
2, 1965 to Bond's Boats. The boat used the boat very sparingly (estimated ~
40 hours use on the boat & motor) over the past 50+ years on Castle Rock
Lake in Central Wisconsin. According to the grandson, the grandfather
purchased the boat just to have a boat at his lake house and really had no
desire to be a boater. The boat was always stored inside under the original
Wm. J. Mills canvas custom boat cover. Although the hull is a 1965, it was
not sold until 1966. The Johnson 33-hp electric start outboard and Tee-Nee
trailer are all 1966 original. Everything on the boat is as delivered and
not refinished. Original varnish, bow & stern lights, steering wheel, Mills
canvas cover, battery box, gas tank, fuel hose, etc. The outboard still has
the original paper break-in decal affixed to the port side cowling
showcasing the limited use. There are zero added screw holes in the interior
mahogany or fiberglass from non-standard equipment. This 13' Sport was
optioned with bow and stern navigation lights, Wm J. Mills canvas cover, gas
tank mats and stainless steel side railings. This 13' Sport truly belongs
in a museum and nearly impossible to find in this original condition.
PROJECT 13b
We sold this boat to an active yachtsman who, after running the boat for 2 years, concluded that he wanted a bigger boat (happens!). We purchased the boat back and have re-powered with a new 25 HP Yamaha outboard. Updated photos with new outboard are shown at the end of the photos string.
Original Description:
This Sport is in unbelievable original condition and was very difficult to locate. This all original Sport was located outside Richmond, VA. This is a one owner Sport that was used on Lake Anna in Northwest, Virginia exclusively and has never seen saltwater. The mahogany was refinished and hull cleaned and polished. This Sport is optioned from the factory with stainless side railings, Wm J. Mills & Company bimini w/boot, red Ritchie Explorer model 15 compass and bow and stern navigation lights. The original 40hp 2-cylinder Mercury outboard is one of the lightest weight 40hp outboards available in 1989 and is highly desired for the 13’ hull. This is an excellent example of a low hour, original, freshwater Sport ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
This clean, freshwater, low hour (< 150) and original Super Sport was located in Mid-Coast Maine from the second owner. This Super Sport was purchased originally from Middlesex Power Equipment and Marine in Tyngsboro, MA and used exclusively on Central Maine lakes until purchased in 1995 by the second owner who used the boat very sparingly on Toddy Pond in Surry, ME. She has been stored inside a garage, unused since 2007. She is equipped with her original 1984 Tohatsu 40hp twin cylinder two-stroke, electric start/choke outboard. The Tohatsu M40C outboard is known as a very reliable workhorse of a motor and highly desirable for the classic 13' hull since it has a very high power/weight ratio, weighing only 136 lbs. This motor even has the original rare vinyl storage cover in excellent condition. This Super Sport has the original Perko bow light. This is a difficult-to-locate, beautiful, turn-key Super Sport.
The 13' Super Sport model was introduced in 1984 and remained in production until 1994. In 1984, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 13' model available from Whaler. Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest and molded storage compartment as standard equipment.

This is a well preserved, freshwater, all original whaler that we acquired from the original owner in northern Massachusetts. She is extremely rare as she is one of the very first 15' hulls to have been produced (#65) and retains a 1975 hull identification number. The 15' hull was released for the 1976 model year and it is rare to find one that was sold in 1975. She is in absolutely original configuration and retains the original 1975 Johnson Sea-Horse 50hp outboard that has just been fully serviced with factory OMC tachometer and ammeter, twin OMC 6-gallon fuel tanks with Boston Whaler fuel tank mats, white original Teleflex steering wheel, stainless steel pole stern light and bow light/chock assembly, brand new Wm. J. Mills custom Sunbrella mooring cover and 1975 galvanized Shoreline trailer. She was purchased originally from a BW dealer outside Charlotte and has been used exclusively on Badin Lake, NC. Meticulously maintained, she has never seen saltwater or spent a night in the water and always stored inside a garage. She is equipped with her original 1988 Johnson 90hp V-4 two-stroke, VRO, electric start/choke outboard with power tilt/trim. The OMC V-4s are known as very reliable motors and highly desirable for the classic 17' hull since it has a very high power/weight ratio and has a reputation as one on OMC's best outboards ever produced.
This particular Montauk was optioned through Whaler with two sets of rod holders forward of the console with factory backrest cushions, 72qt igloo cooler with cushion forward of the console and a very rare rear teak swim step with boarding ladder. She has a new aftermarket custom 24 gallon fuel tank mounted under the reversible pilot seat and full mooring/trailer cover. The original heady duty Cox Drive-on trailer is in excellent original condition with full keel rollers and bunks. This mint condition Montauk is a rare find.
The 17’ Montauk is perhaps the most recognizable and iconic model Boston Whaler ever produced. This 1985 Super Sport is equipped with a low hour, highly desirable and reliable 3-cylinder 50hp Yamaha 2-stroke oil injected outboard with power trim/tilt. This is an excellent all original highly desirable Super Sport that is currently undergoing refinishing of the mahogany and polishing of the original gelcoat.
This clean, freshwater, low hour (10 hours on motor) and original Super Sport was located in the Sunapee region of New Hampshire. She was originally sold in Canada and has a Transport Canada identification plate installed next to the original Boston Whaler maximum capacities plate. She is powered by an immaculate 2006 Honda 40hp four stroke engine with electric choke and power tilt/trim. The motor was purchased new in 2010 and installed by the previous owner who used the boat for 3 years and put 10 hours on the motor. She has been stored inside and unused since 2014.
The 13' Super Sport model was introduced in 1984 and remained in production until 1994. In 1989, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 13' model available from Whaler with a mahogany interior. This clean, low hour (< 50 original hours) and original Super Sport was acquired in the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania area from the original owner. This boat was originally purchased from Lou’s Marine in Bethlehem, PA with a Mariner 9.9hp outboard to be used on local, horsepower restricted lakes. The owner re-powered in 1986 with a brand new 40hp Mariner 40C electric start outboard as he desired more power for his family . This model of Mariner outboard was produced by Yamaha and re-branded as a Mariner. The Mariner 40C outboard is identical (with the exception of top cowling, paint and decals) to Yamaha’s 40C outboard. These twin cylinder 40hp Yamaha outboards are known for their reliability and durability. This engine has a total of 49.5 hours running time since new. The original owner kept a detailed logbook every time he used the Whaler. The boat was strictly used on the Lehigh River and twice on Lake Skaneateles in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. The 13’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1984 and remained in production until 1994. In 1984, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 13’ model available from Whaler. Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest with molded storage compartment, and bow and stern navigation lights as standard equipment. The most recognizable and iconic model Boston Whaler ever produced is probably the 17’ Montauk. This highly desirable 17’ hull paired with a center console provides a platform ideal for inshore or offshore fishing while affording ample interior room to cruise with the family or for watersports. This particular Montauk (produced 1973-2001) is the last year the teak reversible pilot seat backrest and center console doors came standard. 1994 was the last year of the desert tan gelcoat before Whaler changed the gelcoat color to white. 1993 is about the last year the classic Montauk with teak trim and desert tan gelcoat was available. This particular Montauk is a very rare find in this condition. We acquired the boat from the original owner in Central New Jersey who used the Montauk 5 times in the Mullica River before placing it into climate controlled storage for 20+ years. This Montauk is powered with a low hour (< 100) 3-cylinder 90hp Yamaha 2-stroke outboard with power trim/tilt. The 90hp Yamaha offers the best power/weight ratio of all available outboards for the 17’ hull and has a reputation as one on Yamaha’s best outboards ever produced. This Montauk is absolutely perfect and in as new condition.
PROJECT 20
Wow! There is none finer than this absolutely perfect 1992 Super Sport. This very clean, low hour and original Super Sport was located in Northern Massachusetts where it had 2 previous owners. This Super Sport was sparingly used on Lake Winnipesaukee by both owners and always kept in climate controlled storage. This is one of the last years classic 15’ Super Sports were available through Whaler. The 15’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1985 and remained in production until 1994. In 1992, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 15’ model available from Whaler with a mahogany interior. Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest with molded storage compartment, and bow and stern navigation lights as standard equipment. This Super Sport also has the factory optioned full cushion set (both thwart seats, front/rear backrests) and very unique custom Sunbrella canvas mooring cover. She maintains her original varnish on the mahogany interior and rare tan Boston Whaler battery box with Kevlok strap. This 1992 Super Sport is equipped with a low hour, highly desirable and reliable 2-cylinder 40hp Evinrude 2-stroke with power trim/tilt and full gauge package. This is a pristine Super Sport ready to be enjoyed that is extremely difficult to locate in such amazing original condition.
PROJECT 19
This is an unbelievable time capsule that was used twice and then placed in climate controlled storage for 40 years until we acquired in 2016. The very rare Sourpuss model was produced from ’71-’75 and was the most highly optioned model available on the 13’ hull. Exact production numbers are unknown, but a preserved Sourpuss is extremely difficult to locate. The Sourpuss was only produced for the ’73-‘75 model year with a tan hull as Whaler transitioned from white hulls in 1973. The Sourpuss model was upgraded from the Sport with a full width center steering console, front thwart seat mahogany backrest, wrap-around stainless railings with after thwart seat mahogany backrest and blue “denim” lace-on padded seat covers. The original sales flyer advertised the blue seat covers would “look like denim” as they aged and Whaler’s marketing materials were in line with the denim craze in the early ‘70s. Since this boat is a 1976, it is technically referred to as a 13’ Sport Center Steering model since the “Sourpuss” moniker was dropped for the 1976 model year. However, when properly optioned as this Sport is, it is identical to a ’73-’75 Sourpuss. 1976 was the last model year for the center steer option and therefore the last model year a Sourpuss could be ordered. This particular freshwater Sourpuss was located in the Finger Lakes of New York. The original 20hp Mercury engine weighs less than 100 pounds and was recently serviced to include lower unit seal, new fuel lines and a complete carburetor re-build. The interior mahogany retains the original varnish and has not been refinished. The hull was washed and waxed. The Sourpuss also retains the original tan Boston Whaler battery box with Kevlok strap and bow/stern lights. The combination of tan gelcoat, gloss varnish, original black steering wheel and blue “denim” seat covers makes this one of the prettiest Whalers produced. This is a once in a lifetime Whaler.
PROJECT 17
This well-preserved freshwater Sport was located in Western New York State near Farmersville. The Sport had been well maintained through the course of 3-4 owners. The boat had been re-powered in 1981 with a 35 hp Johnson outboard. The 2-cylinder OMC 25-35 hp models produced from the mid 1970s through mid 2000s are very desirable for the 13’ hull due to their lightweight and powerful design. The original gelcoat and mahogany were refinished to original factory condition. We powder coated the original steering wheel and re-chromed the steering wheel bezel along with replacing the coated stainless steering cable. The Sport came optioned with bow and stern navigation lights. This is an excellent example of an original Sport that has been maintained for nearly 50 years. With proper maintenance and care, it will provide another 50 years of enjoyment to the new owners.
PROJECT 14
This very well preserved, freshwater 1978 15’ Sport was located in Grand Haven, Michigan where it had been well maintained by 2 previous owners. The 15’ hull was released for the 1976 model year. An option was added in 1978 for a stainless wrap-around railing with mahogany seat back which this Sport was ordered with. The original 70hp Mercury outboard was not worth repairing, so we decided to re-power with a low hour 2005 fuel-injected Yamaha 50hp 4-stroke outboard. This Sport was also optioned with a rare, grey Ritchie Explorer Model 15 compass. The mahogany was refinished and the hull retains its original gelcoat on the interior and exterior along with the original bow and stern navigation lights.
PROJECT 12
This Sport is as good as it gets for classic Whaler lovers. This all original Sport was located in a garage in Yonkers, NY where it had been stored for 10+ years without use. This is a two owner Sport that was used on Candlewood Lake in Northwest Connecticut by the original owner, purchased by the second owner and never used. The mahogany was refinished and hull cleaned and polished. This Sport is optioned from the factory with stainless side railings, red Ritchie Explorer model 15 compass and bow and stern navigation lights. The original 40hp 2-cylinder Johnson outboard was the lightest weight 40hp outboard available in 1986 and is highly desired for the 13’ hull.
PROJECT 9
This is an extremely rare gem from Cincinnati, OH and one of the most well-preserved original 13’ Sports we have located. Locating Whalers of this caliber is difficult and often requires travelling to preserve a piece of history. The Sport was purchased from the original owner who used the boat very sparingly in freshwater Ohio lakes. The 13’ Sport, Johnson 25-hp outboard and Tee-Nee trailer are all 1968 original. The outboard only weighs 98 pounds and there are zero added screw holes in the interior mahogany or fiberglass from non-standard equipment. This 13’ Sport was optioned with bow and stern navigation lights and truly belongs in a museum.
PROJECT 8
Yes, this is actually a Boston Whaler! Boston Whaler produced the 15’ Mischief model to celebrate their 30th birthday. The Mischief was produced 1989-1990 and began with a standard 15’ hull to which a top fiberglass deck shell was added, front upholstered bucket seats, rear upholstered bench seat, rear gull wing storage compartments, tow pylon, incorporated cockpit boarding ladder, glove box and sport style steering wheel. 235 hulls were produced, of which 139 were red. This Mischief was acquired from the original owner in Western Massachusetts where she had strictly lake use only. This 1989 Mischief is equipped with a low hour, highly desirable and reliable 3-cylinder Yamaha Pro 50 2-stroke oil injected outboard with power trim/tilt. This is a fun, rare and unique Whaler that celebrates 30 years of Whaler production.
PROJECT 7
The Menemsha was built on the 16’ classic Whaler hull and was marketed as Boston Whaler’s cabin cruiser. This rare Menemsha, only an estimated 235 built from ’65-’72, was located just south of Albany, NY and had been enjoyed by a few owners in the Hudson Valley and Adirondack region of upstate New York. When located, the original fiberglass molded helm seat and aft storage tray had been removed along with the original equipment marine sanitation device. However, the remainder of the interior remained original and needed attention. Since the marine sanitation device and associated through hull fittings had been removed, we closed off all through hull fittings, faired the hull and applied Awlgrip to the exterior gelcoat. The interior and cabin retain their original gelcoat. We repaired and refinished all interior mahogany and constructed a helm leaning post with storage and added a stern seat that was available as an option to the 16’ hull and standard on the Eastport Model. This very unique 16’ model was a fun project and the end product came out fantastic. The new owner was ecstatic and we are happy to have preserved this very elusive and uncommon Boston Whaler.
PROJECT 6
This all original 17’ Newport was located in a garage in Brooklyn, NY where it sat unused since 1989. We acquired the Newport from the original owner who used the boat only a handful of times in Long Island Sound and then parked it in his garage. The 17’ Newport was introduced in 1975 and produced until 1990. The Newport was built on the same 17’ hull as the very popular center console Montauk, but was intended to be a more family friendly platform for fishing, skiing, cruising and to compete with bow riders. The standard Newport model featured a molded fiberglass side console with windscreen, wide fiberglass gunnels with interior storage, forward low profile stainless bow railing with windscreen, three piece rubrail with scarlet red insert, two forward upholstered bucket seats and reversible pilot seat with padded backrest. This particular Newport was optioned from the factory with an upholstered igloo cooler, replacing the reversible pilot seat and rear casting platform with a livewell factory cushion set, and removable towing pylon for skiing. The original 1987 Johnson outboard was frozen from years of storage and not worth repairing, so we re-powered with a new 3-cylinder 90hp Yamaha 2-stroke outboard with power trim/tilt. The 90hp Yamaha offers the best power/weight ratio of all available outboards for the 17’ hull and has a reputation as one on Yamaha’s best outboards ever produced. This Newport is absolutely perfect and in as new condition. This rare Newport is an excellent layout for family adventures on the water
PROJECT 5
The 17’ Outrage was produced from 1990-1995 and is a slightly shorter version of the classic 18’ Outrage hull designed by Bob Dougherty. The 17’ Outrage offers a substantially different hull design with a deeper vee to provide a smoother ride in chop. The 17’ Outrage included a fiberglass center console with lockable electronics box, forward igloo cooler with cushioned seat and backrest, wide fiberglass molded gunnels, internal fuel tank, reversible pilot seat with cushioned backrest and two molded-in stern seats. This 1993 Outrage also included custom rear stern seat railings, side Whaler grab rails and a Wm J. Mills bimini w/boot. The Outrage was acquired from the original owner near Galena, MD where she was used in the Sassafras River. She is all original and powered by a 1993 115hp Johnson 2-stroke oil injected outboard. This is a fine example of the limited production 17’ Outrage in impeccable original condition.
PROJECT 4
This very clean and original Super Sport was located in central Maine where it had 2 previous owners. Both owners used the Super Sport strictly in Maine’s freshwater inland lakes. The 13’ Super Sport model was introduced in 1985 and remained in production until 1994. In 1985, the Super Sport was the most highly optioned 13’ model available from Whaler. Super Sports received a full wraparound stainless railing, upgraded mahogany interior including extended side steering console with forward thwart seat backrest, full width aft thwart seat backrest with molded storage compartment, and bow and stern navigation lights as standard equipment. This 1985 Super Sport is equipped with a low hour, highly desirable and reliable 3-cylinder 40hp Yamaha 2-stroke oil injected outboard with power trim/tilt. This is a pristine Super Sport ready to be enjoyed.
PROJECT 2
The Sport model was available with a rare center steering option from ’71-’76 which added a full width center steering console to the base Sport interior. The Sport Center Steering model was only produced for the ’71 and ’72 model year with a white hull and blue interior as Whaler transitioned to tan hulls in 1973. This freshwater 1971 13’ Sport Center Steering model was located in Coastal Maine and had been used sparingly on a lake in Lincolnville for her entire 45+ years. The Sport, 20hp Mercury outboard and Dilly trailer are all original 1971. Of note is the significant new hull change that occurred in 1971. The new hull design affectionately added the “smirk” to the forward portion of the hull, added a revised motor splashwell design, and added a new 3-piece rubrail with black insert that would be standard on Whalers 17’ and below through the mid 1990s. The 20hp Mercury outboard weighs less than 100 pounds and provides plenty of power to plane with 3 adults. The minimum horsepower for the classic 13’ hull is 9hp with the maximum being 40hp. This is a very rare Sport model in exceptional original condition.
PROJECT 1
This very rare, all original Nauset was purchased from the original owner near Bay City, MI. The Nauset was used exclusively for salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and was always trailered and store inside for fifty years. This particular Nauset was ordered with the reversible pilot seat and Ritchie compass options. Nausets came standard with a fixed pilot seat and could be upgraded to the reversible pilot seat that came standard on the Sakonnet model. The Nauset began the center console revolution in the boating industry. Prior to the Whaler 16’ center consoles (Nauset, Sakonnet, Eastport), the center console production boat did not exist. This Nauset retains the original Alloy Marine trailer. We re-powered the Nauset with a 90-hp Evinrude E-TEC that has the best power/weight ratio of current production outboard motors.
This well preserved, original 13' Sport came from Bentleyville, PA. This boat was purchased from the original owner's son who inherited it from their father. The boat was always stored inside under the original Wm. J. Mills canvas custom mooring cover. The Whaler had been stored inside under cover in a closed Chevrolet dealership since 1989 (the last year she was registered). The hull number of 9901 denotes it as a 1963 model year. The Johnson 28-hp outboard and Trailcar trailer are all 1963 original. Everything on the boat is as delivered and not refinished. Original varnish, bow & stern lights, steering wheel, Mills canvas cover, OMC gas tanks, fuel hose, etc. There are zero added screw holes in the interior mahogany or fiberglass from non-standard equipment. This 13' Sport was optioned with bow and stern navigation lights, Wm J. Mills canvas cover, gas tank mats and stainless steel side railings. This is a very original and well-kept classic 13' Whaler. Photos show the condition that we received her in and then after a bit of time and effort. We’re still working on this project, so check back for final restoration pictures and upgrade her status to “for sale.”
PROJECT 49
We don’t normally take on a project with this many unknowns, but something about this boat got us on the road to bring her back to the shop. This will be a long process, but surely gratifying.
This all-original Nauset was acquired from the daughter of the original owner in Central Pennsylvania. She has been stored under cover since the 1988 boating season (yes, 1988 is the last year she was used and registered) and retains all of her original parts. This Nauset was used predominately on the lakes and rivers around Elizabethtown, PA and also spent a few weeks every summer on Rehoboth Bay in Delaware for family vacations. Nausets came standard with a mahogany center console with reverse trawler style windshield, fixed pilot seat and 10” stainless side railings. The Nauset began the center console revolution in the boating industry. Prior to the Whaler 16’ center consoles (Nauset, Sakonnet, Eastport), the center console production boat did not exist. This Nauset is fitted with a newer 2014 Karavan trailer. The current 1973 Evinrude Triumph 65hp outboard has been home to a family of mice for decades and will be removed.
We are currently determining what level of restoration we intend for her or if we will make into a good user boat. She is a blank canvas and we are happy to discuss restoration options with you.
